Out and about


Lovely 6.30am strong sunlight.  Getting lots of practice out and about with my sketchbook and paints ready for upcoming events.  Nothing quite like being outside painting from nature.  I like to mix things up, concentrating on the close-up and noting the finer detail, then doing the opposite, trying to minimize the detail when tackling a landscape, I enjoy the mental gymnastics.
I've also been getting familiar with not using a pencil until the painting is done. All challenging fun.
