Lovely 6.30am strong sunlight. Getting lots of practice out and about with my sketchbook and paints ready for upcoming events. Nothing quite like being outside painting from nature. I like to mix things up, concentrating on the close-up and noting the finer detail, then doing the opposite, trying to minimize the detail when tackling a landscape, I enjoy the mental gymnastics.
I've also been getting familiar with not using a pencil until the painting is done. All challenging fun.Wednesday, 3 July 2019
