An Easter Rose.

 gouache sketch of a miniature rose I received over Easter.

quite a challenge to try to capture the wonderful colours in the rose petals...yellow to red.  Did I manage it...don't know, but I hope so.

 Based on the story of the death of Prince Llewelyn the Last of Wales in 1282.  His trusty steed watches over the dying Prince.
