daily sketch, 'The Jar Candle'.

I loved sketching this today...wasn't easy, but I liked how it turned out.  Gouache with a little soft pastel highlighting.  Hope you like it.

daily sketching.

I do try to keep up with sketching every day, it's so helpful with speeding up the process and keeping on my toes, so to speak.  Here are a couple I've done today.  I'm still concentrating on gouache sometimes using soft pastel as a finishing touch.  Hope you like them.

Lock-down Sketchbook, for sale now

When I produced the Lock-down Sketchbook, I had no idea we would be still coping with COVID so far into the future.  The idea of the sketchbook was to encourage people to jot down their thoughts or scribble sketches into the blank spaces I had left on some of the pages...something to look back at when we are free of the restrictions the pandemic has brought.  My own discipline of sketching every day has certainly helped to keep me sane.

I hope everyone who reads this is okay and safe.  If you are interested in the sketchbook follow the link xxx
