Busy day.

I've been working on producing some prints of past sketches.  Not sure yet what I'm going to do with them, probably put them in the Etsy shop, maybe have a go at turning one or two of the images into collage art, using fabrics.

working on the Etsy shop.

I must admit, I am not great at doing those essential and ultimately important tasks that I used to call, paperwork, but is now dealing with online maintenance.  I would rather spend all my time making and creating, but I do realise the need to get on with the tasks that will help sell what I have made.
For that reason, I am now spending some time getting to grips with my Etsy Shop, which has been in existence for around 4 yrs and yielded only one sale, because I have neglected it.
I have managed to add a link to the shop from here, my blog site, which is a massive achievement for me, and I will try to keep posting my new products on a more regular basis.
I love creating art, but, I really do need to start to sell it too, as I am finding, these days, that I am living in a warehouse.  Here are images of some of the items I will be offering for sale in my shop.
I HOPE YOU WILL VISIT.

Morning of the Dragon

One of the hats that I wear...(there are many), is working as a role model, as part of a Govt. initiative in Wales, called Big Ideas Wales, where we encourage young people to be innovative and to consider working for themselves as a addition/alternative to working for someone else.  It's an inspiring experience, and I get to meet students of all ages, with great imaginations and great ideas...they always give me a boost that goes on to feed my own creative process. It was a 'Dragon's Den'- style event, totally engaging and uplifting.  A breath of Dragon fresh air.

2019...

I've made lots of resolutions, as usual, how many I will keep is a lottery...but I want to get my online shop and blog up to scratch...
With so many interests and so few hours in the day, it's always difficult to find time to make what I want to make, on top of that I have to deal with posting what I make, in order to sell it...that's where I struggle....that's where I seem to lack some skills...so the 'No. 1'  resolution of this year is to get that sorted out.  My artist life is difficult, because I need it to be a life that supports me economically, which it doesn't...I need to tackle that this year.
So, here goes.  I wish you all the very best of luck and happiness this year.  May you fulfil all your dreams and hopes and remain happy and healthy.
Today, I planned my first scarf project, it was great to get back to it...Spent some time selecting a
colour pallet and I did a small knit sample of the major yarn that I plan to use, (liked it).
Now for the fun of turning it into the finished product.
